After a massive and successful stay in theatres, Pawan Kalyan's eagerly anticipated action-cum-crime-drama, They Call Him OG, has received the official Netflix premiere. Following its screening in the cinemas on the 25th of September, 2025, the film has been turned into a streamable format and is available in different languages such as Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, thereby granting access to the entire country of India to witness the power-packed saga.

A National Action extravaganza

Sujeeth, the director of the thriller They Call Him OG, a.k.a Saaho, is the man who made the film come to life by bringing top-notch participants from Indian cinema. The movie is a D. V. V. Danayya production planned under the DVV Entertainment banner, which also produced RRR.

Pawan Kalyan plays Ojas Gambheera, a person with a shady and enigmatic history who takes over the criminal underworld power-wise. The film also signals the beginning of a new era for Emraan Hashmi as he gets to portray the main villain—along with him; the supporting characters are Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, Prakash Raj, Abhimanyu Singh, Sudev Nair, and Harish Uthaman.

Storyline: Power, Betrayal, and Revenge

The plot, which spans Japan and Bombay from the 1970s to the 1990s, tells the tale of Ojas Gambheera, who survives a lethal attack in Japan and subsequently goes back to India on a ship. Upon his arrival, he meets two tycoons whose collaboration results in the setting up of a strong private port monopoly in Bombay. Nonetheless, greed and treachery convert partners into foes, thus leading to a feud between the generations, which exposes the dark side of allegiance and ambition.

Sujeeth's writing takes the audience on a powerful ride through the world of revenge and moral corruption, and mixes the gunpowder drama with the subtle emotionality of the characters.

Masterful Technical and Sound Crew

The film's technical team works wonders in terms of the movie's overall aesthetic. Thaman S dishes out a thrilling score that goes hand in hand with the movie's high-tension situations. The camera work by Ravi K. Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa successfully differentiates between the harsh reality of 1970s Bombay and the glamorous setting of Japan.

Naveen Nooli's sharp cutting keeps the storyline moving at a brisk pace, while A. S. Prakash's painstakingly done production design brings the vintage period back to life very convincingly. The film's action scenes have a stunning realism lent to them by the skilled technicians—Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbarayan, and Stunt Silva—who choreographed them.
